Prada Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

Prada is an Italian luxury fashion company founded in 1913 by brothers Mario and Martino Prada. The company is under the direction of Miuccia Prada, Mario’s granddaughter, since 1978. Up until that point, Prada had largely been a re-seller of leather goods but after the change of management Prada began to become the fashion house we know today.

Miuccia’s own creations for Prada were launched in 1979 achieving great success. When Miuccia met Patrizio Bertelli, an entrepreneur with a leather business, she started creating her first backpacks and handbags which soon became best-sellers. She managed to open a second boutique in Milan and by that time Bertelli had joined her in the business. Her first womenswear collection débuted in 1988, one year after her wedding with Bertelli. In 1992, she introduced a high-fashion line named after her nickname, Miu Miu, presenting a creative and uncommon style of ugly chic wear. The menswear collection was introduced in 1993. Prada has been a given at every international fashion show since the late 80's and continues to be a hugely important fashion house to this day.

Prada’s fragrances are made in conjunction with Puig, who also collaborates with other famous fashion companies such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino. The first fragrance to conquer the mass market was Prada Eau de Parfum (2004). However Prada’s fragrances were initially niche, artisan-made products, composed by only one accord. These were then presented with a slight modification, creating the Infusion Line. Infusion D’Homme (2008) is an Eau de Toilette for men, whose main accord, Iris, is accompanied by vetiver and incense. Other popular fragrances for men are Amber Pour Homme (2006) and Luna Rossa (2012).
